Chene France delegation in the villages of Shirak Marz
On May 3-4, the delegation of the Chene France visited the community development projects implemented by “Shen” NGO in Shirak Marz.
The delegation visited Meghrashen village, where an agricultural cooperative established with the support of “Shen” is engaged in the filtration, disinfection and classification of seeds. This initiative is an important step towards improving the quality of local seeds and seed production.
The next stop was the village of Jrarat, where the guests were welcomed in a cheerful and warm atmosphere. Here they visited the dance hall renovated by the French youth organization “AYO” with the support of “Shen” NGO. After the renovation, the dancing hall serves not only as a cultural center, but also as an important platform for community consolidation. The youth and children of the village organized an event for the guests, which was so inspiring that the delegation members joined the children in an Armenian national circle dance.
In Jrarat and neighboring Karnut, representatives of Chene France also met young farmers. They have united in one marketing group to create new approaches in agriculture. Their goal is to make agriculture not only profitable and sustainable, but also attractive to the younger generation. The group aims to prove that living and creating in the village can be a promising and dignified choice.
The visit of the Chene France once again confirmed that the development of rural communities is possible only through joint efforts, mutual respect and continuous support. The successes of the projects implemented in the Shirak region are inspiring and breed confidence in the future.
